HER STORY
Maggie’s work over the last 8 years has been singularly focused on social equity across genders and classes. This focus flows from deep rooted values of inclusion, social equity and respect for Mother Earth. She is an active member on many POSH committees, works on DEI strategic initiatives with global organizations and teaches D&I to Management students.

When she’s not working or thinking about work, she’s either climbing mountains or writing – both of which keep her connected to nature and fuels her need to create safe spaces for voices that often go unheard.

Harsh as it may seem, Maggie believes that the entrepreneurial ecosystem, especially in India is designed to promote capitalism and success of men. Sangatna was incubated with an intent to change the narrative of revenue driven growth and create an inclusive, conscious space for women entrepreneurs. Her key role as Co-founder and Fixer, is to work with the ecosystem to bring about this change.

"Yogah karmasu kaushalam" from Bhagavad Gita which translates to "doing work with excellence is Yoga" defines who Maggie is as a person. For her, the quote guides her and inspires her to always give her best possible, for the work at hand. As a yoga practitioner and instructor, this guides her approach to work and life outside the Yoga mat.

Maggie is an Engineering graduate from NIT Trichy (India) and an M Sc (Organizational Psychology, HRM) from the University of London.
