VAISHALI JAMES
A career marketeer of over 26 years, Vaishali James loves building brands and telling their story through various channels and perspectives. She strongly believes that for organizations to deliver a wow experience (both for the customer and employee alike) – the thought, behavior and communication should be in absolute sync with the brand narrative.
HER STORY
Using this belief as a foundation, she has created and nurtured brands in the ITES and FinTech industry and created an industry forum that focused on customer experience through sustainable commerce practices.

She is obsessed with empowerment through equality and inclusivity. Be it gender equality or financial inclusivity and access. Her career choices and choice of causes she’s associated with are a clear reflection of this obsession.
​
In her corporate avatar, Vaishali was Vice President – Marketing for an ITES company and later, the Chief Marketing Officer at a FinTech start-up. She is currently Community Lead – AnitaB.org Chennai and a mentor at Hopeworks Foundation.

“If you walk in others’ footsteps, you will never make your own” is a quote that has defined everything she has done – professionally and personally. She believes that the day women are empowered to make their choices in every walk of their lives and the society at large has financial access to meet basic requirements – the collective dream of empowerment through equality and inclusivity will start looking achievable.

In her role as Co-founder and Imaginator, she hopes to be the voice of struggle, grit and determination of women entrepreneurs and bring it to the public in the knowledge that these stories will inspire other women to build their individual identities and create their own footsteps.

Vaishali is a Botany graduate from Stella Maris College, Chennai (India) and an MBA (HR, Marketing & Innovation) from the Open University of London.
